I have made a decision to try to shoot a least a little bit each week, simply for fun. This one I took several weeks ago but wanted to post it up. So I will try to post my work, at least one photo, each week.
So after a wonderful trip to Austin (a combo business & personal trip) I was once again inspired. I can only give credit to one person, my best friend from high school, Becky. I was sharing my woes with her about not being inspired to take photos beyond the jobs I've been doing. So during a night outing to The Oasis, she patiently waited while I snapped some shots and said "Let's get you inspired."
Here's the result. Thanks, Becky, for the inspiration and encouragement.
In photography classes, if you don't have a middle graycard to meter for settings, you use the back of your hand...I thought these were interesting. Here's what came of my recent self-portraits.
And the result:
I am so critical of photos of me...thank goodness I'm the one behind the camera.
I am making all efforts to shoot on a consistent basis whether I have work or not. The only way for me to become a better photographer is to consistently shoot.
Here are a few recent shots. I sit for these kids and totally love them and their enthusiasm. What a fun day!
